Janesville Mile – As a way to promote the business corridor in downtown Janesville, Yuri created the Janesville Mile marketing concept. Jointly with Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, a map was developed promoting the district and an original festival: Art Infusion along the Janesville Mile.
Discover Janesville - Discover Janesville: As a way to promote good people doing good things in Janesville, Yuri produced and hosted TV program called Discover Janesville. Featuring nearly 100 interviews with local volunteers, business and community leaders, Discover Janesville won several awards.
Janesville Noon Lions - Past President of the club, Yuri is committed to the Lions’ goals of eradicating blindness and helping visually impaired while serving our community.
United Arts Alliance - As the President of this umbrella organization for artists and arts groups in Rock County, Yuri is committed to ensuring greater recognition for arts as well as creating communication and networking opportunities for the arts-minded individuals.
Janesville Area Creativity Awards - As a way to promote creativity in the Janesville area, Yuri initiated the JAC Awards, which recognize creativity in all its forms, from music and theater to hair design and tattoo artistry. JAC Awards are produced annually by the United Arts Alliance.
Janesville Toastmasters - Under Yuri’s leadership during his time as President of this storied club, Janesville Toastmasters club was recognized on the national level as President’s Distinguished Club in 2008. Yuri also created, produced and hosted the Distinguished Speakers series featuring local leaders giving talks on public speaking at the Hedberg Public Library.
UW Rock County Foundation - As member of the Foundation, Yuri worked to provide more scholarship opportunities for UW Rock County students, and was heavily involved in several Taste of Culture fundraisers, which raised money for scholarships and promoted arts.
